QC KENTEI EXAMINATION
GRADES in QC KENTEI
QC KENTEI offer four grades of exam with target people and requirements as follows.

Quality control certification Grade 4 is mainly for technical high school students, college students, vocational school students, college students, and people registered with dispatched labor companies. The content of Grade 4 is whether you understand the meaning of the basic terms of quality control, what is important, and what the purpose is. In other words, it is the Grade of knowledge that new employees have after a few months of receiving simple quality control basic education. Therefore, it can be said that those who have Grade 4 understand the basics such as how to proceed with work and the basics of quality control.
Quality control certification Grades 3 and 2 are for people who work in the company, but they are for people in ordinary departments rather than those who specialize in quality control work. With seven QC tools as one axis, Grade 3 is the level at which you learned seven QC tools, and Grade 2 is the level at which you can master the seven QC tools and solve problems.
GRADE 4 - BASIC LEVEL
Main Target :
New employee and beginners in Quality Control

Required Knowledge:
Basic knowledge on the overview of QC,QC methods and fundamentals of corporate activities.

Candidate Requirements:
Candidates include new recruits, temp staff, high school and university students, and anyone interested in joining a company.
GRADE 3 - INTER-MEDIATE LEVEL
Main Target :
Employees who participate in problem solving activities (“kaizen” activities)

Required Knowledge:
Basic knowledge on QC and each QC method.
​
Candidate Requirements:
Candidates include those with a basic understanding of QC methodology, members of Kaizen activities and students of industrial universities or colleges.

GRADE 2 - HIGH LEVEL
Main Target :
Employees who take the lead in “kaizen“ activities, Manager, Staff of QC division.
​
Required Knowledge:
Practical knowledge of QC and each QC method, including statistical analysis.
​
Candidate Requirements:
Candidates play a leading role in solving quality problems related issues through the application of QC methodology.
GRADE 1 - ADVANCE LEVEL
Main Target :
Experts who give guidance to various “kaizen” activities, leaders in quality control division.

Required Knowledge:
Advanced knowledge of QC and each QC method, including advanced statistical analysis.
​
Candidate Requirements:
Candidates work in QC management or technical departments and require a high level of proficiency and understanding in all areas of quality control.
